ABOUT US

How Latinos Unidos Began

Latinos Unidos grew from a simple idea: helping our neighbors. We started by sharing food and offering a little financial support so they could cover what they needed most.

As the immigration crisis unfolded across the country, more neighbors and families turned to us. Many people did not want to or could not leave their homes because they feared immigration raids. Listening to their stories, we realized that the need was growing day by day and that our community needed more support.

That is why, in addition to sharing food and financial assistance whenever possible, we began distributing red cards with information about rights and forms to help families prepare for a possible ICE detention.

What began as a gesture between neighbors became a community project that continues to grow. Every day, we strive to reach more people, stand alongside our families, and remind them that they are not alone.
